Neferneferuaten Nefertiti (/ˌnɛfərˈtti/[3]) (c. 1370 – c. 1330 BC) was an Egyptian queen and the Great Royal Wife (chief consort) of Akhenaten, an Egyptian Pharaoh. Nefertiti and her husband were known for a religious revolution, in which they worshiped one god only, Aten and built a new capital together called Amarna( thus there reign is known as the Armana period) She was made famous by her bust, now in Berlin's Neues Museum

This bust is done in a funeral mask likeness to that of an 18th dynasty queen. Her funeral mask did not survive the great cleansing after Ay's death(Tutankhamuns successor), Horemheb usurped the throne and instigated a campaign of damnatio memoriae against all the Armana royal personages of the period.
